Our partner GCS SeqOIA from the French National Genomic Plan (PFMG2025) is presenting a poster showcasing their transcriptomic workflows automated on the Magelia.
Extensive molecular characterisation of cancer tissues is essential for precision medicine, and in that context:
PFMG SeqOIA lab evaluated the Magelia® (Inorevia) automated platform for WTS with a range of RNA inputs, in order to validate a rapid and robust workflow for technically challenging samples.
Overall, wetlab operations have significantly gained efficiency with Magelia® system: launching overnight runs requires minimal hands-on time, automation drastically reduces the risks of error and cross-contamination; optimized turnaround time now makes it possible to sequence urgent samples sequenceable on the second day after sample reception. These data highlight improved transcriptome resolution for Magelia®-treated samples.
Extensive molecular characterisation of cancer tissues is essential for precision medicine, and in that context:
- Sequencing strategies are crucial
- Whole Transcriptome profiling (WTS) is of major interest for the detection of
- fusion transcripts
- gene expression levels
- expression signatures, tissue of origin...
- WTS library preparation protocols must capture all molecules of interest, excluding rRNA, regardless of the quality of total RNA available
- Small size of tumor biopsy is sometimes a limitation
- Automated solutions for library preparation are necessary to increase throughput, reduce turnaround time, lower costs, ensure high reproducibility, and minimize the risk of contamination.
